The CT12 Turbo's have the ceramic turbine wheel which is very brittle and doesn't handle high stresses. The CT12 turbo is also restrictive and responds well to high flowing.

like all toyota designed turbo's they are very well made and have good reliability as a stock unit. The week ceramic turbine is the only part which can give problems but it has been designed with response and only factory power levels in mind.

Fully overhauled including kit (new o-rings,
  seal,bearings)
STEEL turbine wheel
Fully cleaned and dressed to appear "as new"
Fully balanced including core balancing and speed

47mm BILLETcompressor wheel .
Steel turbine wheel of a custom profile for better flow but not sacrificing spool
Ported turbine housing entry for much better flow and improved spool up- more efficient.
