HIGH FLOW
Toyota CT26 turbochargers are a very good turbo regarding reliability. They were never designed as a big flow
turbo but they do have respectable performance for their purpose. The modifications that can be done to these
turbo's are numerous and relatively easy and make a big difference to horsepower. Main changes in high flowing are fitting a bigger compresor wheel and cropping the turbine wheel. The end restrictions are the housings but custom
compressor cover fitments can take the power level further.
It is possible to see 600 flywheel horsepower
from a supra extremely modified CT26 turbocharger.
High flowing can be done to CT26 Turbochargers from 70,80 series landcruiser, 100 series landcruiser, 12ht,1hd-t 1hd-fte and others. Details are here.
Toyota CT26 Turbo's are used in Mk 3 Supra (7m) and MR2. there are also many other desiel and petrol toyota ct26 turbochargers that are good for high flowing.
